How To Search Past Commands in Powershell

You need to issue a command that you had issued in past, but you cannot remember the how command is again.

There is hope if you can remember a part of the command.

Open Powershell, and do Control + R, you should have something like this:

After doing Control + R you will have bck-i-search: then you should begin typing your keyword. As you are typing the keyword (Kernel is my keyword here ), Powershell will show the latest command that matches your keyword.

You will see failed-bck-i-search if your keyword does not match any past commands.

To see other commands that matches your keyword, keep doing Control + R

Which other ways do you do this, I want to hear from you.

Cheers
