🌱 Introducing Bloom — What I’ve Built, What I’ve Fixed, and Why I’m Making It

Hi everyone — I wanted to share the app I’ve been building called, Bloom.

Over the past few months, I’ve been refining, polishing, and expanding Bloom, a privacy‑first, ease‑of‑life web app I’m creating for the trans community. This post is a proper introduction to what Bloom is, why it exists, and where I want it to go.

💖 Why I’m Making Bloom
Bloom exists because, for what felt like my entire 3½ years of transitioning and learning to code, I searched everywhere for tools that actually supported me. I tried so many apps — hoping for something gentle, private, and built with trans people in mind — and kept running into the same problems: account requirements, tracking, and data collection.
After years of looking, then since my programming skills are improving so I figure:
If I can’t find the tool I need, I’ll build it myself.

Once I started building Bloom, I figured
if I needed this kind of tool, other people possible might as well.
So instead of keeping it to myself, I decided to make it available to anyone who could possibly benefit from something calm, supportive, and privacy‑first.
Bloom is my attempt to create the space I couldn’t find — a set of tools made by a trans person, for trans people, and for anyone who needs something helpful, gentle, and free of judgment or data extraction. It’s built with care, accessibility, and autonomy at its core.

🌼 What I’ve Built Recently

A Full Walkthrough (Now Live on the curiocorner.org website)

The full video walkthrough (Now up on my youtube-https://youtu.be/EnMfrhzttyE )

Over the last 2–3 days, I created a complete walkthrough of the Bloom web app. It explains:

  • how each tool works
  • how the interface flows
  • how everything fits together in a gentle, non‑overwhelming way

It’s now fully accessible and available directly on the website.

🌱 My Goals & Ambitions for Bloom

Bloom is starting with the trans community because that’s where it comes from — our needs, our frustrations, our desire for tools that don’t treat us like data points. But long‑term, I want Bloom to grow into a full ecosystem of gentle, privacy‑first tools that anyone can use.

My goals are simple but ambitious:

  • build tools that feel human
  • keep everything privacy‑first
  • make the experience calm, accessible, and non‑judgmental
  • support trans people first, then expand to anyone who needs gentler tech
  • grow Bloom slowly, intentionally, and with community input

Bloom is still early, but it’s growing fast — and I’m excited to keep sharing updates as it evolves.

If you check out the walkthrough or try the app, I’d love to hear what you think. Your feedback helps shape where Bloom goes next.
