As developers, we often need small tools while working on projects.
Maybe you need to format a JSON response from an API. Maybe you want to generate a QR code for a website or create a hash for testing. Sometimes you just need a quick utility to solve a small problem without installing another application.
This is where CodePrints comes in.

What Is CodePrints?
CodePrints is a growing collection of free online tools designed to make common tasks easier and faster.
The idea behind the project is simple: create useful tools that are easy to access and straightforward to use.
Some of the tools we're building include:
QR Code Generator
PDF QR Code Generator
JSON Formatter
Hash Generator
Barcode Generator
Developer utilities
Free APIs and other online tools
The project is aimed at developers, small businesses, marketers, students, creators, and anyone who needs a quick online tool.
Why We Started CodePrints
While working on web applications and APIs, I often found myself using different online utilities for small tasks.
For example, when working with an API, I might need to quickly format JSON.
When working on a project for a business, I might need to create a QR code.
When working with documents or printed materials, I might need a simple way to connect physical content with digital information.
These are small problems, but they come up regularly.
The goal of CodePrints is to bring useful solutions together and make them available from one place.
QR Code Tools
One of the first areas we focused on is QR code generation.
QR codes are now used everywhere—from restaurant menus and product packaging to business cards and marketing campaigns.
With the CodePrints QR Code Generator, users can create different types of QR codes, including:
URL
Text
WiFi
Email
Phone
SMS
WhatsApp
vCard
Image
Users can also customize their QR codes and download them for use online or in printed materials.

PDF QR Code Generator
Another tool we're building is the PDF QR Code Generator.
This can be useful when you want to connect a printed document or physical material with a digital PDF.
For example, a restaurant could add a QR code to a table. A business could add one to a brochure. A company could put one on product packaging to give customers quick access to a user manual.
The idea is simple:
Scan the QR code → Open the PDF.

Tools for Developers
CodePrints is also focused on developers.
JSON is used everywhere in modern web development, especially when working with APIs and backend systems. When JSON is returned in a single line or poorly formatted structure, it can be difficult to read.
A JSON formatter can make that data much easier to understand while debugging or developing an application.
We're working on building more developer-focused utilities like this over time.
What We Want to Build
CodePrints is still growing, and there are plenty of ideas for the future.
We're interested in creating more tools around:
Web development
APIs
Data formatting
QR codes
Documents
Productivity
Developer utilities
The focus will remain the same: simple tools that solve real problems.
We don't want every tool to feel complicated.
Open it.
Enter your information.
Get the result.
That's the experience we're aiming for.
What's Next?
This is the beginning of CodePrints.
We'll be sharing updates about new tools, technical challenges, development decisions, and practical guides here on DEV Community.
I'll also be writing about the technologies and ideas behind building online tools, including topics related to PHP, Laravel, APIs, JavaScript, web development, and SEO.
If you're a developer, creator, business owner, or simply someone who likes useful online tools, feel free to follow along.
