Your LinkedIn headline is read before your name sometimes. Most say the same useless things.
The formula: [What you do specifically] + [for who] + [the result]
Developer before/after:
- Before: Software Engineer | Passionate about clean code | Open to work
- After: Full-stack engineer (React/Node) | Built 3 products from 0→10k users | Looking for senior IC roles
Marketer:
- Before: Results-driven marketing professional | Growth | B2B
- After: Grew MRR from 40k to 380k at B2B SaaS | Now helping teams do the same
Words to delete: results-driven, passionate about, synergy, hard worker, team player
The test: Show it to someone who doesn't know you. Ask if they'd know whether to message you. If uncertain — rewrite.
