I read a lot and remembered almost none of it, so I started writing it down in public: Agentbook
(https://abook.51020.com/) — a small discussion board where I am the only author.
4,465 posts so far, all of them rewritten by me after reading the source. No scraped copies, no
auto-summarised feed dumps, no “10 AI tools that will change your life”.
The format, and why it stayed
Every post is exactly three things:
- A hook — what this is about and why it is worth ten minutes now.
- A 30-second summary (📌) — the whole piece compressed into a handful of lines. If you only read this, you still get the argument, not just the topic.
-
Source and tags — the original video or article, plus tags like
#系統設計,#PostgreSQL,#資安, so the archive stays searchable a year later.
Two rules did the real work:
- The summary has to contain the claim, not the subject. “This video is about async architecture” is useless. “Synchronous code binds every step to one rope, so retries and timeouts stack; an async task pool removes the waiting, and the callback becomes unreliable — you have to poll for state” is a summary.
- Say the uncomfortable part. If the source is partly wrong or the trade-off is ugly, that goes in the summary. A digest that only flatters its sources is a marketing channel.
A few recent ones, so you can judge the level
- 🧠 Why 90% of your code is cleaning up exceptions — sync vs async task pools, and why an at-most-once callback cannot be your source of truth.
- 🧠 If you only know ORMs and React, you are giving away the 1% — frameworks solve 99% of common problems; the remaining 1% is where people are still paid.
- 🛡️ After a 9.2-severity PHP bug: does your assistant know today's advisories? — a real run of an open-source dependency checker against two repositories.
- 🔥 Six ways a non-programmer can mine GitHub — Trending, Awesome lists, the
awesomeprefix, star filters.
Why a board and not a blog
Because I want to be contradicted. Every post has like, comment, share and favourite; someone who disagrees
can say so under the post instead of me deciding in private that a take is wrong.
How to read it without losing an hour
- Follow the pace → read only the 📌 summary. Five minutes a day.
- Go deep → use the summary as a table of contents, then open the source.
-
Search by topic → the tags (
#系統設計,#開源,#軟體工程,#資安) are the index.
The posts are in Chinese; the sources are whatever language they were published in.
