🧬 What We're Building
We just opened 5 new issues to build the core of our Decentralized Botanical Map:
1. Tree NFTs
Each tree planted on the map will be represented as a unique digital asset. It will store:
- Species
- Planting date
- Location (lat/long)
- Owner address
- Parent tree ID (for cuttings)
2. Cutting Registration API
When a farmer takes a cutting from a parent tree, the system will register the new tree and link it to its origin. This creates a transparent "family tree" for every plant.
3. Royalty Model & Payment Splits
When a tree from a cutting produces fruit, the profit is split automatically:
- Child Owner: 88%
- Parent Owner: 2% (royalty for the original tree)
- Admin: 10% (platform fee)
This is coded into the escrow flow and enforced by the Gateway.
4. Escrow Multi-Wallet Payments
Using our MultisigWallet, payments will be sent to three separate wallets automatically — no manual intervention, no disputes.
5. Botanical Dashboard
Farmers and admins will have a visual dashboard to:
- View all planted trees on a map
- Explore the "Tree Family Tree"
- Track earned royalties
- Set global commission percentages
