Introduction

What is Kokborok

First of all, Kokborok is the main native language of Tripura. It is spoken by the indigenous communities of Tripura "Tiprasa" people. Kokborok is the official language of the state of Tripura, India from the year 1979.

Kok Dictionary is the first digital "Kokborok Dictionary "initiative taken so far to grow the Indigenous language from the state Tripura to promote KokBorok language individually. Currently, it is the Tripura's largest digital educational platform.

Languages Used to Build?

The online digital dictionary platform(Online Kokborok Dictionary Web App) is built solely on javascript on the front end and in the backend, I used PHP along with JSON & XML file.

The online Kokborok platform composed of main features such as:

• Custom Word Translation made with Google Translation Api
• Kokborok word Talk Back Features
• Payment gateway with paytm
• 1000 + Kokborok Word meaning database
• Live Audio Podcasting

Major Difficulty you faced in Completing Project

I faced the following trouble while completing this project.

• 1. Financial Problem as I was an under graduate student studying in final year
• 2. Giving time to the project
• 3. Making a strong team to finish up the project
• 4. Lastly, searching an investor to finance it.

Major Step by Step Journey in Completing the Project?

1. The first difficult thing was to develop its base i.e the search bar using Php & Ajax which Gradle the data's stored in the database along with making the home page.
2. Its front end is done in HTML, CSS and javascript taking some help from my friend(Tripura Coder's).
3. The Digital platform's unique talk-back feature is made by converting the word to voice through Google Api separately and placing it in the individual words.
4. Kokborok Auto Translator is developed using Javascript, Php, and XML files.

Final Thoughts?

In the future, we are planning to roll out the android and ios versions of Kok Dictionary. Also, We are working to upgrade the present features along with fixing some bugs which is a headache to all developers Isn't. :p
