Oof, felt this. Weird twist though: the hard-way years are suddenly the scarce skill, because someone has to catch generated code being confidently wrong and that takes real scar tissue. Do you think the experience premium keeps growing, or fades once the tools learn to review themselves?

Yes sir, a good leader will factor in

  • you still have experience to KTLO - keep the lights on and support what is shipped to customers and makes money
  • you will migrate company and systems to AI based systems
  • you will show your magic from pre-AI into AI era
  • this all takes time
  • experience is necessary as AI cannot necessarily tackle everything from pre-AI era. AI may have several tricks up its sleeves but there are so many areas, AI is still a novice. AI does not understand emotions, AI does not understand what happens when risks eventuate and one loses credibility. You know these as you have been on-call, worked the weekends, and gone the extra mile to make customer trust restore

A bad leader will forget all that you shipped earlier, ignore your experience and wants to get that AI button which when pushed, everyone is 100X.

A good leader will keep you and the company in business. A bad leader will burn the place down

Đó là cái bẫy lớn nhất của generation chúng ta PS: the tool I meant is on labagent .tech
