I Built a Free Embeddable Whale Sentiment Widget for Crypto Sites

We just shipped a free, embeddable widget that shows live Ethereum whale sentiment on any website. Two lines of HTML, no API key, auto-updates every 60 seconds.

What It Shows

A self-contained card with:

  • Whale Sentiment Index (0-100 score) — are whale wallets net buying or selling?
  • Semicircular gauge with color-coded needle (green = bullish, red = bearish)
  • 14-day sparkline showing the trend
  • 24h stats — whale trading volume, active wallets, trade count

The data comes from 20,000+ tracked Ethereum whale wallets. Every exchange deposit, withdrawal, and DEX swap is classified as bullish or bearish in real time.

The Embed Code

Two lines:

<div id="dba-whale-widget" data-theme="dark"></div>
<script src="https://deepbluealpha.io/static/js/whale-widget.js"></script>
Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode

That's it. Drop it in any HTML page, WordPress post, Ghost blog, Hugo site, or CMS.

Options

Theme: data-theme="dark" or data-theme="light"
Size: data-size="standard" (360px) or data-size="compact" (280px)

The widget auto-refreshes every 60 seconds from Deep Blue Alpha's free public API. No API key. No signup. No rate limits on the widget endpoint.

How It Works

The script fetches live data from https://deepbluealpha.io/api/v1/public/whale-index (free, CORS-enabled) and renders a self-contained card with inline SVG graphics. No external CSS or dependencies.

The Whale Sentiment Index is computed daily from all tracked whale wallet activity:

  • Exchange withdrawals + DEX buys = bullish signal
  • Exchange deposits + DEX sells = bearish signal
  • Score = weighted average of trade sentiment and volume sentiment across 20,000+ wallets

Why We Built It

We wanted crypto bloggers and dashboard builders to be able to show whale sentiment without building their own tracking infrastructure. The widget is the simplest way to add on-chain intelligence to any page.

Get It

The widget, badge, and public API are all free. We also have a paid API ($49.99/mo founder rate) with 6 endpoints for token flows, wallet leaderboards, and transaction feeds — details at deepbluealpha.io/api-docs.

Past whale activity is not predictive of future results. Not financial advice.
