Building Your Pathway Consistently

You know reverse back to 2022, and I was this guy who was engrossed in Science and Math, all I wanted was to outshine my peers - in the best way I taught possible, which was by figuring out the technique to cracking the famous MATH ENIGMA.

It went like this, what’s behind the trick, "Take an even number divide it by 2, and then repeat the process, if you get an odd number multiply by 3 then add 1 - the result always evaluated back to 1.

Well, for the next 1 year, I battled hard with many more difficult problems like this one, 😭 funnily all to no avail, Spoiler -“also in 2022 I gained admission to study and get a CS degree at Caleb”.

Guess what, I paid no attention to Computer Science as I taught it was for weaklings, typical me 😄, Math all the way.

Fast-forward to the 2023/2024 academic session I met this roommate of mine who was a guru at programming, although a bit shy, I walked up to him and said - 🥲 Hey there bro, what you doing, and he said just developing a site with some code, hmm 🤔, CURIOUS ME - I asked myself what possible good could this Computer Science of a thing bring about.

THE BIG BREAK 👇 He gave me a piece of the iceberg that day, websites are just one of the many testaments of code today - He said. This prompted me to research more on the topic -and I remembered - since I’m a curious math learner, what could possibly go wrong with some puny code 😀, let me just try it out a little bit.

Yeah so I took a python course learnt the basics, and taught I was good, hmm, Was I??, Noooooooo😂. It turned out I was just getting started, Spoiler - "Good thing I was a legend at Math and already started a python course and learnt the basics, because my lecturer at Caleb taught advanced C++ for a start, how unfortunate 😔.

Well, the good news guys now I’m a thriving Software Engineer, with hands on experience with multiple languages including, Python, JavaScript and Java with a massive number of frameworks at reach.

Soo…🤔🤔 What did we Learn

a) Always pick one programming language at a time, and try to learn the basics of easier languages first.

b)Never get your hands on an emerging technology and remain clueless about it.

c)You don’t need a CS degree to become an efficient programmer, just Practice, Practice and guess what - More Practice.
