Which charities are close to your heart?

We at Developer Nation have been supporting developers and organisations who help developers, plus other charities close to our heart since 2019. The way we do this is through our donation program during our Global Developer Surveys.

Who we've supported

Every 6 months we donate $1,700-$2,000 in total to organisations. So far, we’ve supported Black Girls Code, CoderDojo, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Free Code Camp, Mozilla Foundation, the Raspberry Pi Foundation,Techfugees, The Nature Conservancy and Women in Big Data (South Africa).

Last year we kicked off a new way of donating. We gave developers who participated the choice of which organisation (from a list) they wished to support. Each developer taking the survey raised the donation amount by $0.10.

We're running our survey now, and are supporting the following organisations:

  • Code.org
  • Free Code camp
  • Free Software Foundation
  • Girls Who Code
  • Greenpeace
  • The Nature Conservancy

Which of these organisations would you support? Who else should we consider?

You can also take our survey, discover new tools and make your charity choice.

Underdog Devs! They provide support for formerly incarcerated people who are trying to learn to be developers.

Thanks for the suggestion @webbureaucrat we'll certainly add this to our list to consider for our next survey!
