For anybody who is looking for advice on mentorship, I recommend browsing our #mentorship tag. I also have a couple of recommendations...

First off, I know that @gravy just shared a new post with plenty of excellent advice on mentorship.

Secondly, be sure to check out @veruu's comprehensive guide on the subject from last month.

If you have resources or other advice to share, consider posting an article about it under #mentorship and/or giving it a mention here in this thread.

Appreciate y'all! πŸ’š

It's time to introduce about my services here too. Thanks to @michaeltharrington

My name is Arthur, I'm a Senior Software Engineer, mentor and blogger. I've been programming for more than 10 years now. During this time, I've managed to work with a huge number of architectures, programming languages and libraries, including: JavaScript & TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Python3, Java + Android, PHP, C/C++, C# + .NET, Lua and much more. I also conducted a lot of Front-End/Back-End/Full-Stack interviews for levels from Trainee to Senior and created many informative, nice and ATS-friendly resumes. More than that, I still study programming, and I share my experience in my author's articles on DEV and on private consultations.

My main stacks that I worked with on commercial projects are:

  • Front-end: React.js | TypeScript | ReactNative | Rudux | Material UI
  • Node.js: express | koa | fastify | Nest.js | npm | prism | TypeORM
  • Python3: celery | FastAPI | Flask | poetry | pytest | SQLAlchemy

What can I help you with:

  • Call-meeting: we can talk and identify your problem completely for free
  • Resume review: I'll check out your resume, point out soft spots and help fix them so that job applications are converted into interviews (paid)
  • Competent resume writing: I'll help you create a resume in accordance with your experience and knowledge, from scratch or based on an existing one (paid)
  • Mock (trial) interviews with practical tasks (paid)
  • Mentoring: I'll create a comprehensive support program for both beginners and professionals (paid)
  • Consultation on your topic (paid)

Makar

This is a wonderful series!!!

I am mentoring a dear friend ATM, so I don't have the bandwidth for a big commitment, but I promise I will offer a full mentorship once he lands on a job.

In the meantime, I can hop on a call(s) with a few code newbies and advise them on what is what in the wonderful world of Tech and what career paths they can potentially take πŸš€

Hi, my name is Reihaneh.

Your current experience level as a developer.

I have been working as a front-end developer for 3 years now and I'm working with reactjs, ts, popular react libraries, and even some nodejs.

What your personal goals are.

I want to do something inspiring in the open source world, I have started some packages at work as well. I like to start blogging and learn enough to start mentoring. I want to do something new in general other than the things I do at work.

What your personal commitment looks like

I dedicate my weekend to learning new things

Hey, my name is Habib, I’m an aspiring frontend developer and I have been learning how to code for over a year. Currently learning React.js. I have built some projects but don't feel that confident building stuff from scratch yet.

I am aiming to turn this into a career, so landing a frontend development job is the end goal. However, in the short term, I am looking to improve my skills as much as possible, prepare a portfolio of projects, and make myself as employable as possible.
I am looking for a mentor, someone I can ask questions about this track.
