I already have 2 azure accounts associated with my personal info. I used a new email address to register for a new Azure account. The card info and phone numbers are identical to the ones that belong to my exisitng azure accounts.
The website told me I am not eligible for a free azure account and credits. What do I do?
Hey there! If you've already used up your trial, you can make a new account to redeem your trial credit for this hackathon. If you have any further questions about your accounts with Azure, you can follow this link to learn more: azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/fre...
Hi Brian, Thanks for the reply. I already registered using a new email address. But the website told me I am not eligible for the credits. I am not sure if that's because I am using the same personal info (name, address, phone, credit card) for the new account?
I had the same issue and couldn't create a new account. Is it possible to submit a project to the hackathon with an already existing Azure account? If that's not possible, how about using a new pay-as-you-go account (as opposed to free)?
I ended up using a pay-as-you-go subscription. Nonetheless, the service I used should not be a big deal in terms of price (Azure Function).
Hello from New York!
Learned so much from Microsoft Azure Trial Hackathon. Hope my project is acceptable for the Microsoft Azure Trial Hackathon. Have yet to receive a confirmation email message or any feedback from the DEV website about my project. A little worried about this.
Thank you for this opportunity.
Can we participate in a group or do we need to do that individually??
You can participate with other people, but DEV only awards prizes to the individual who posts the submission. Any prize-splitting needs to be done on the side of the poster as per our rules. For everyone in your group to receive a DEV profile badge, you must include their DEV handles in your submission. Thanks for asking!
You can participate in a group I think. Take a look at the end of the submission template:
(Be sure to include the DEV usernames of your collaborators, if any. Prizes for winning projects with multiple collaborators will be sent to the person who posts this submission and they will distribute the prize evenly. DEV will not split prizes as per our rules)
I already have an Azure account where my trial already expired. Do I get the credit again? Please clarify. Thanks!

Thank you, Brian.
I have an application idea but I don't know which category to pick.
I think about using serverless components like Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, Cosmos Db serverless tier, maybe Logic Apps... It might fit in the "Compute Captains" category as a fallback.
Or I could add some Computer Vision and pick the "AI Aces" but it would be a side feature of the app only, it will be more a serverless project than an AI one ;)
Do you have any category suggestion ?
I have started working on a personal project using Azure some months ago. If I submit it during the period of the Hackathon does it qualify me as a valid participant?
Hello! As per the rules, the application must be created during the contest window. To give you an idea of how this comes into play, our judging team will be checking your GH repository to ensure the application's "newness". Hope that helps!
@devencourt / @graciegregory Can we get the dates on when the winner will be announced??
Hey there, isn't it possible to verify the account by the phone and github, its asking for a credit card but I have debit card, and azure dosen't accepts debit cards :(
Please help!
Hey there! If you're asking about verifying your Azure account, you'll need a Github or Microsoft account, a phone number, and a credit/debit card. As long as the card is not a pre-paid gift card, then you should be fine! If you have any other questions, this FAQ might help: azure.microsoft.com/en-us/free/fre...
Don't you have some ways to participate without any bank card like student account account?
When and How will we be notified of results?
Can I use the credit without a bank card?
If no is a Master card valid to do these?

What about student account, does it require any bank card?
Nope, they don't
Can we submit 2 submissions?
I would like to participate in the low code category. How would I have to make my submission if I build a Power App?
I think there is a way to extract the "code" of a canvas app so you could publish it to a GitHub repository.
I think you also need an organizational account (Work or school, not personal Microsoft account) to use Power Platform (even the free trial). This could be clarified by the organization team ^^
Is there any limitations on the number of project submission ? Can I submit 2 projects ?
Hey Joysankar! By all means, please feel free to submit more than one entry. Please note that you will only be eligible to win one prize for the Microsoft Azure hackathon. You won't be able to earn multiple prizes, but multiple submissions will definitely earn you some community cred!
What is this DEV Shop? What does it sell?
I already have a student account on azure, how do I get the $200 credit and participate in the contest?

Hi, is there any deadline extension? I've just got the information of this hackathon 2 days ago from email. If there isn't, is late submission considered? Thank you
