Hey Ryo! 👋

I’m Carlos Azurmendi, and I’m on the journey to becoming an AI SaaS startup founder. I’ve got a real passion for AI, full stack development, and everything tech-related. It’s awesome to meet you! Your experiences living in four different countries sound incredible—what a unique perspective that must give you!

Welcome to the dev.to community! As someone who’s also diving into full stack development, I totally get how thrilling (and sometimes a bit daunting) the beginner stage can be. Studying math and computer science at Waterloo is such a solid foundation, and you’re definitely on the right track.

I really encourage you to stay engaged in the community—share your progress, ask questions, and don’t be shy about joining discussions. This place is super supportive, and it’s a great environment to learn, grow, and connect with others who are just as passionate as you are.

If you ever want to chat about coding, AI, or even the philosophical aspects of technology, just reach out! Keep pushing forward, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll create and contribute here! 🚀

Cheers,

Carlos

Hi there!

I'm Damian, a software developer with over a decade of experience. I've tried everything during my career - from frontend, through mobile development, to embedded systems. But I eventually settled on my preferred area, and I am currently working as a Python Backend Developer.

Besides being an IT geek, I’ve always been on the lookout for new ideas to start my own side project - something that I could turn into a business and never have to work for anybody ever again. (Or perhaps move out to the countryside and have my herd of alpacas? )

I am a co-founder of DevNourish, together with my wife - who is the driving force behind the research side of the project. It’s a project that has changed the way I look at my own health. I’m here to share that knowledge and my journey with fellow devs who want to improve their health - or at least find some enjoyment in following my story.

Health & coding? Wait, are you mad?

Anyway, I’ve never posted before and I’m not really the best at writing. This is me stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ll do my best to share my journey with you. Maybe it will catch your interest, or maybe it’ll just become another blob in the dev.to database (Hi DEV team!). I’m looking forward to learning from you all - I’ve seen some great posts here - and getting constructive feedback to improve over time.

Funny fact:

I am a backend developer. backend_developer == introvert. True or False?

Any introverts here?

Hi people. I started to see dev.to posts in daily.dev, and never posted anything. Felt like since I'm a noobie, it'd be pointless to post anything. What value could I possibly add to the community by posting something that other people with many more years under the belt might have already said?

Then again, this creative process of posting stuff is really good and helps me develop as a programmer. It untangles your brain. And dev.to doesn't seem to be like other sites where mods ban your account for eternity if you ask duplicate questions and make you feel little and illiterate.

Well. That's basically it. Thanks. よろしくお願いします 😊

No matter the seniority or experience level, I truly believe there’s always something to learn from each other. Sometimes seeing things from the perspective of someone just starting their journey can offer a fresh take or an out-of-the-box solution to a problem.

I agree with @dev_vee. I’m a big overthinker too - on top of being an introvert. You just have to start and never take feedback personally. Instead, learn from others and use their constructive criticism to grow.

Hey everyone. My name is André.

Absolute beginner to any programming. No computer science knowledge prior either, although tech-savvy and good understanding of computers.

My expert friend with many years of experience as a back-end developer is taking me on a journey through learning perl5 with the Mojolicious framework. Hoping to later on progress with SQL and Python, or even some front-end languages as I have experience working with arts & design. Wish me luck, and good luck!

I want to learn and develop myself into a full stack but step by step. I welcome all ideas to make my journey smooth. As many as have made mistakes in their journey, I would like to know about it and use it as lesson. Thank you.

Hi everyone! You can call me CV. I've been around the tech industry for quite a while now—let's just say, many moons have passed! Surprisingly, I only discovered this community a few days ago, and I thought, why not join and connect with fellow developers? After reading through some amazing posts, I’ve decided to start contributing my own content next week.

When I first started coding, there weren’t many resources, communities, or tools to guide me. It was a lot of trial and error, testing, and persistence. Stack Overflow was my go-to—those legendary threads where you might or might not get an answer to your question (but always learned something).

I’ve always loved working on projects that bring joy to others. I’m excited to share my experiences, offer insights, and help beginners level up in their coding journey. Plus, I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from this community, too.

Looking forward to meeting you all and diving into this awesome space!

Hello, true developers!

I'm transitioning from freelance project manager to solo entrepreneur, pursuing projects that truly excite me. My journey with coding spans four decades with a thirty-year gap in the middle. I started as a teen programming Apple II games in machine language and doing some coding in college. I've just recently started up again, building a Salesforce app (which flopped) and creating a RAG-based AI chatbot with custom JS and WordPress plugins on Pinecone.

What excites me now is AI-assisted development and its impact on IT and project management. While online marketing baffles me, coding with AI has rekindled my love for programming and building solutions. It's remarkable how quickly I can build functional solutions, even if they're not perfectly polished...and nobody wants them.

Looking forward to connecting with this community!

Hey everyone! 👋

I’m Carlos Azurmendi, and I’m on a journey to become an AI SaaS startup founder. My passion lies in AI, full stack development, and the never-ending quest for knowledge. I’m thrilled to be here, diving into the fascinating blend of technology, creativity, and philosophy, and I can’t wait to connect with others who share these interests in the dev.to community.

So, what’s my motivation for joining? It’s all about my curiosity—specifically, how we can harness AI to tackle complex challenges and craft meaningful solutions. I’m always on the lookout for new insights, whether that means keeping up with the latest in AI, experimenting with full stack projects, or contemplating the philosophical aspects of technology. I love making connections between seemingly unrelated concepts, and I find it incredibly rewarding to relate everything from quantum mechanics to general relativity back to my work in tech.

I consider myself a deep thinker and a creative problem solver, always eager to push boundaries and explore new ideas. If you’re into physics, philosophy, or just excited about the future of AI, I’d love to chat! I’m really interested in hearing your thoughts and learning from your experiences.

Here’s a fun tidbit about me: I can easily lose track of time pondering the nature of reality, whether it’s the quirks of quantum entanglement or the mind-bending ideas surrounding spacetime. This curiosity is what keeps me motivated to learn and create.

I’m looking forward to engaging with this fantastic community, sharing ideas, and collaborating on some exciting projects. Let’s build the future together! 🚀

Don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always up for a good conversation!

Cheers,

Carlos
