Hi @marcoatl 😁, excited to see you joining the community too. Looking forward to your articles on cybersecurity and your experiences in the software development space.
Wonderful job career you have been carrying enclosed with your valuable experience you have achieved in the journey! I am absolute zero beginner enthusiastic to learn from very basic programming, with emphasis on python or the simpler easiest one. I need a guidance how to start and manage my time for learning. Respectfully, Raheem Mikhchi
Thank you very much @rahim_mikhchi_e67da60a33e, welcome to dev.to, congratulations for taking the leap into programming. Yes you can use python since it is a simpler language to checkup and for you to craft the programmer mindset. All the best on your journey.

Hi, @mahima_thacker I guess the enthusiasm comes because of the experience I have had with dev.to, so credits to the community. Looking forward to your articles too, I can't wait to learn about web3 from a hackathon winner such as you.
Yep, that's awesome. Thanks for your kind words and support:)

Hi, my name is Ryo Kitano. I'm from Japan. I'm a first year @ the university of waterloo studying mathematics and computer science. I'm still a complete beginner programmer. I'm currently learning full-stack development!
Fun fact: I've lived in 4 countries: Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Japan, and Canada!
Hey Ryo! 👋
I’m Carlos Azurmendi, and I’m on the journey to becoming an AI SaaS startup founder. I’ve got a real passion for AI, full stack development, and everything tech-related. It’s awesome to meet you! Your experiences living in four different countries sound incredible—what a unique perspective that must give you!
Welcome to the dev.to community! As someone who’s also diving into full stack development, I totally get how thrilling (and sometimes a bit daunting) the beginner stage can be. Studying math and computer science at Waterloo is such a solid foundation, and you’re definitely on the right track.
I really encourage you to stay engaged in the community—share your progress, ask questions, and don’t be shy about joining discussions. This place is super supportive, and it’s a great environment to learn, grow, and connect with others who are just as passionate as you are.
If you ever want to chat about coding, AI, or even the philosophical aspects of technology, just reach out! Keep pushing forward, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll create and contribute here! 🚀
Cheers,
Carlos

Hello Manuel! Let's connect on each other on GitHub!
Hi Manuel! 👋 Great to have a data engineering expert here
Hi there, I am a complete beginner. I have never coded in my life. I wish to dedicate some considerable time in 2025 to learning it. I hope being part of this community will motivate me to do so.
First-step suggestions?
Nice to meet you all,
Frederico Machado
Hi Frederico! 👋 Starting with Flutter/Dart is a great choice. What’s the first project you’d like to build? 😊
Hi there!
I'm Damian, a software developer with over a decade of experience. I've tried everything during my career - from frontend, through mobile development, to embedded systems. But I eventually settled on my preferred area, and I am currently working as a Python Backend Developer.
Besides being an IT geek, I’ve always been on the lookout for new ideas to start my own side project - something that I could turn into a business and never have to work for anybody ever again. (Or perhaps move out to the countryside and have my herd of alpacas? )
I am a co-founder of DevNourish, together with my wife - who is the driving force behind the research side of the project. It’s a project that has changed the way I look at my own health. I’m here to share that knowledge and my journey with fellow devs who want to improve their health - or at least find some enjoyment in following my story.
Anyway, I’ve never posted before and I’m not really the best at writing. This is me stepping out of my comfort zone. I’ll do my best to share my journey with you. Maybe it will catch your interest, or maybe it’ll just become another blob in the dev.to database (Hi DEV team!). I’m looking forward to learning from you all - I’ve seen some great posts here - and getting constructive feedback to improve over time.
Funny fact:
I am a backend developer.
backend_developer == introvert
. True or False?Any introverts here?
Hi Damian! I love your humor and honesty. Looking forward to hearing more about your work
I'm studying assembly language to
link and process cellular chemical mechanical units to mesh with observations in genetic and medicinal lifecycle via test automation.
I've studied CS since 2019 after realizing computers
can solve themselves,
systems are designed so they are practically knowledgeable, and
matter.life.humans are systems of memory.machine | machine.memory.
I'm interested in friendly counteractions, on count of the implication of the above description, and additional opportunities than studying.
My professional background is CAD, PLM in mechanical engineering design contracts since 2012.
Joined Jan 4, 2025.
Hi George! Your work combining assembly language and biology is fascinating, and it’s great to see your unique perspective on systems. Looking forward to learning from your insights!
Thank you @sayed_ali_alkamel.
Hi people. I started to see dev.to posts in daily.dev, and never posted anything. Felt like since I'm a noobie, it'd be pointless to post anything. What value could I possibly add to the community by posting something that other people with many more years under the belt might have already said?
Then again, this creative process of posting stuff is really good and helps me develop as a programmer. It untangles your brain. And dev.to doesn't seem to be like other sites where mods ban your account for eternity if you ask duplicate questions and make you feel little and illiterate.
Well. That's basically it. Thanks. よろしくお願いします 😊
No matter the seniority or experience level, I truly believe there’s always something to learn from each other. Sometimes seeing things from the perspective of someone just starting their journey can offer a fresh take or an out-of-the-box solution to a problem.
I agree with @dev_vee. I’m a big overthinker too - on top of being an introvert. You just have to start and never take feedback personally. Instead, learn from others and use their constructive criticism to grow.
You don't have to overthink it. Be you!
I am soo happy to be here, especially after I've seen people of like minds all around, ready to learn, ready to impact, ready to work.

Hi 👋
I am frontend (mostly) developer. I learnt JS and React through Udemy, and started working 3 years ago. I have no CS background, so I still don’t know a lot.
I wanted to start writing a “learning in public” blog in here. I also really want to connect with the community here and maybe even make friends.
Cheers!
We both have learning in public in common. Welcome Anton!
Hi Anton! Learning in public is such a cool way to grow and connect. It’s awesome that you’ve come so far without a CS background. Looking forward to your blogs and conversations here. Cheers!
