Not a bad week in itself tbh.
Congrats! What a great week for you!
Thank you so much!
Woot woot! Well deserved, Dumebi. 👏
Thank you so much, Michael! 💜💜
Najs!! :D
:D
Congrats. Hope you get more good weeks like this and much greater than this. Wish you success 👍
Thanks so much! @mohiyaddeen7 💜💜
Got to grill for the first time in a while 🤤
Yummy! I grilled cheese this week... different, but still tasty. 😀
oooh how did you grill it?
…oh wait…do you mean like a grilled cheese sammy? 😂
Lol! Exactly. I'm glad you followed that dad joke... 😆
But seriously, it was an impactful grilled cheese sandwich for me... so much so that I shared it with the DEV Team in Slack and it was a pretty popular subject as you can see from all the comments.
daaang, that’s awesome! i bet that was super good with habañero cheddar!
i miss good random slack convos with the team!
I found some Mexican street corn cheese dip at Aldi. I'm wondering how that would taste in a grilled cheese sandwich.
Delish, I bet! 😋
If you do it, I wanna hear about it...
Ooooh, that stuff is goooood. I put it on nachos 🤤🤤
Good on Nachos, I put in burritos too.
Amazing! Did you have fun?
Grilling is always fun! …and delicious 😋
Amazing. 😀
🤤🥲🥹
Just got accepted to speak with a new talk which is always nice.
Had a tough week trying to get Static Single Assignment working with my bytecode Stack Machine compiler. My initial algorithm was overly simplistic but the new crazy complicated version actually works. LLVM IR is torture, I hope the compiler ends up as performant as I expect it to be...
Yaaay!
Wish you to achieve your fruit of hard work. Keep innovating ✌️

And also thank you 😊
There is no problem at all, Michael. It's great 😃
Awesome stuff! Thank you for understanding!
Amazing!
Amazing, keep it up👍
Sounds like a pretty damn good week... way to top it off with the Chickern Korma! 😋
Love hearing you were able to catch up with some folks in the community!
By the way, appreciate ya chiming into Music Monday... excellent synthwavy earworms! 🙌
Thanks Michael! Yeah, damn good week! Hopefully some weekend hacking on some ESP32 stuff to just change things up. Also having friends over to play a board game based on "Scream" the movie. Should be fun!
Also, props on the MK movie throwback! I really enjoy the cheese, and I agree, it was the best. Totally didn't pick up the Halcyon track at the ending! Love it!
Haha, you're playing a "Scream" the movie-themed game... 😱😂
You must enjoy the cheese! 🧀🤣 (Glad you dig the MK reference btw, haha!)
Awesome stuff all around. Have a good time boardgaming with your buds and enjoy your weekend!
Don't forget me... Just kidding🥹 but still... chicken korma🤤
I spoke at the Women in Tech conference in Columbus this week. It was my first time at a women's event and I felt odd for even submitting a session, but a lot of people encouraged me to do it and it's a way of investing in that tech community and showing respect to the event. It went well aside from accidentally turning off the room lights at one point. I want to continue to be involved in the event.
That is awesome, Matt, and really cool to hear your reasoning. You're clearly there for the right reasons!
And despite the lights mishap, I'm sure your talk was well-received. 🙌
Yes, I'm told it was ... enlightening. It was actually a pretty ridiculous talk with a stuffed dog on a table with a webcam and speaker and showing how various Azure AI services can replace of what my dog already does.
I gave a talk on Creating a Culture of Feedback at RedwoodJS Conf!
That sounds like a super cool talk, Bekah! Congrats!
Made my first post on DEV!

Been there a few times now. Thanks.

I've used Arch Linux to save a laptop at work
It received a new SSD and after reinstalling Windows on it, nobody could have the WiFi working again, multiples driver installation, googling, and two days went by, we were giving up on the card already.
So, I had the idea to make a bootable USB drive with Arch on it, went through the installation guide wiki, I already knew that wiki had some powerful tips to help laptops connect to WiFi.
It took less than 5 minutes, a quick run with
rfkill
displayed a Hard block on the card. I pressed Fn + F4 (The key combo for toggling WiFi) and it worked, after that I usediwctl
to search and connect to a network. For some weird reason that key combo wasn't working on Windows nor in the BIOS screen menu no matter what. That was my win, I work as tech support at a company where Windows is everywhere and the looks I got when Arch booted up was hilarious. "Good luck fixing it with DOS" said a coworker haha
