Hey y'all ๐
Another week down โ hope it's been a good one for ya!
Looking back on this past week, what's something you are proud of accomplishing...

Giving myself a mental reset. My boss and his boss were both fired on Tuesday morning quite unexpectedly. On the home front, I took a step back from coding and working on my education, and just let myself relax for a the week. TV, reading, and the gym. Just letting myself let go of everything.
It's been good. My stress levels are lower than they were before this all went down. So Saturday, I'm going to go ahead and dig back in to my personal project and my coursework.
Wow, I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds like a challenging time.
That said, nicely handled and way to keep things into perspective โ good on ya for keeping the stress levels despite things being rocky. I hope everything smooths out at work. Or, if you find that it's time to move on to somewhere else, that you are able to make that happen with ease. Digging into the personal project and coursework sounds like good stuff.
Wishing ya the best, Dan!
Awesome!
Finished the first basic version of my website.
Made two posts here on dev.to

Finally got around to making a website for myself
Mr. Linxed ใป Feb 6
I am happy about the progress I made this week. And finally got myself to write some articles. Been wanting to do this for a while but something was always stopping me.
They might not be great. But practice makes perfect.

Very nice! Sounds like a successful week to me. Good posts, btw! ๐
my win this week was earning the GIT badge here lol
Congratulations! ๐ I LOVE badges!
Welcome to DEV!
Awww yeah! ๐
Badges goes BRRRR <3
I made it to Friday.
That counts for something right? JK
Haha, totally counts! You know, not every week has to have some grand triumph. Making it to the end is a win in my book. ๐
๐ฐ I published a post on DEV! โจ
What is The Best Way to Learn a Coding Language?
Anita Olsen ใป Feb 4
Heck yeah! Another great discussion! ๐
It's so cool to hear about different folk's methods for learning.

Woot woot! Nice one, Thomas. I'm sure Astro appreciates it. I wonder if they might want to have an org here on DEV... ๐ค
I see we have a tag!
#astro
I would love to have an org here!
Let me see what I can do! Who do I get in touch with?
Oh that is great! ๐
You can follow this page to create your organization, and if you have questions, @michaeltharrington won't hesitate to respond! (also me aha) ๐ฑ
Wow, this is awesome! Thanks for the intro @thomasbnt and great to meet you @eliancodes. ๐
I'll hit you up via email with some more info, but in the meantime, feel free to check out our organization info page here and if you wanna get started with creating an org, you can do so from your settings here
Speak soon and hope you have a wonderful weekend! ๐
Aha I had this question in my head too, I'm asking the maintainers if they'd be interested in writing about DEV. ๐
my contribution to the fastapi-sso library has been accepted :)
Woot woot! Good stuff, Alessandro. Sounds like a handy plugin!
Glad to see my react article here was so appreciated ๐
This is an amazing article!
So glad you liked it! I really hope people wonโt make the same mistakes I did !
Oh wow yeah, this is one heckuva article! Nicely done, Ndeye. ๐
Thanks a lot ๐โบ๏ธ
I created my first react app! Its real dumb but its my real dumb app.
Haha! Hey, gotta start small right? ๐
I might have the opportunity to do a little bit of "freelancing" for a friend of a friend! I'm super excited! I've been brainstorming ideas for about 3 days straight now ๐ .
Oh heck yeah! That sounds fun. Hope the collab goes well. ๐
Good luck!
I released

dataset on Kaggle:... so it should help opensource AI.
After four months of jumping through hoops, finally getting traction on my initiative for a central logging server for our custom apps to be deployed to our on-prem virtualisation environment. After first being told "No" without reason or even communication, through the In Cloud or never, (never mind we've not had experience with that kind of cloud deployment before), investigating and discovering all the ways it can't work in a cloud deployment, or if it can, the cost would be prohibitive, through the gatekeepers slowing becoming less dogmatic on their directives, to this week finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel of an acceptance of my well researched original proposal.
It's petty and unhelpful but oh boy do I want to shout "I TOLD YOU SO!"
But I won't. I'll whisper it. ๐คซ
Hahaha! Who doesn't know that feeling? Proving the haters wrong. Congrats Ryan! ๐
I read the ultimate guide to javascript localization by Phrase. It has helped me localize a web application for a client seamlessly.
Now localization is a problem of the past and I can confidently do it in my future projects.
I bought a USB hub. Now I don't have to connect and disconnect things ๐๐๐
I wrote a small announcement about an extraordinary programming language.
here: dev.to/karol11/argentum-programmin...
and it got hardly 25 views for a whole day.
I was depressed.
Then I posted it on a regional Russian website and got 6000 views in 1 hour.
It turns out, it was not all about my work, it's just how articles are prioritized here.
What a relive :-)
This week I finally launched my website! Itโs an online store where people can find all my programming-related Notion templates. Now I can go back to focusing on creating more templates ๐
You can check it out here: devnotes.to/
released a new onboarding flow for developers and businesses on devtree with some quality of life changes.
I published my favorite article yet!
What is Motion Sensitivity? How to Design Accessible Web Animations
Elizabeth ใป Feb 8
Wow, this one is wonderful, Elizabeth! Very good stuff. Thanks for chiming in here with it! ๐
My last article just hit 300 reactions, win of the month ๐
Booyah!! ๐ฅ
300 reactions is a massive amount of cred! That's def worth celebrating. ๐
A little late today, but I completed my major AI initiative for my client. My final model had an accuracy of 98% which out-performs their as-is system by a wide margin.
Also, I took and passed the Azure AI Vision skills assessment.
I've been busy developing a project starter template which includes an Angular client-side as well as an Express server.
So far it's been a huge time saver having a project with authentication, session management and a database connection plugged into it. All I need to do is edit the environment variables to my configuration wishes.
Since this weekend I can start new projects based on the starter template and just focus on my application logic instead of any authentication/session configuration.
Here are this week's wins:
I try to think positively and wake up with gratitude
Published my second article on dev.to and got some engagement:)

got selected for Angel hack community builders programme 2024 !!!
I finished freecodecamp's basic HTML course (4 hours). I already knew some things but it taught a lot about accessibility and semantic HTML :)
I've been able to release v0.1 of folder routing.
npmjs.com/package/folder-routing
Finished reading Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood. It was academically fantastic.
