My win this week: took the plunge into robotics and assembled my first functional Arduino circuit! It's amazing how something as simple as making an LED blink can feel like such a huge accomplishment.
Already planning my next project - maybe adding some sensors. The hardware-software connection is fascinating coming from a pure software background.

It was a busy week…

  1. Sent client staging link for their new site, a week early
  2. My problem junior crossed the finish line with no lint issues (it’s been an on-going struggle to get him to adhere to standards)
  3. Got to MVP on a side-project I’ve been toying with for a month or two (headless frontend connecting to WordPress using only vanilla PHP and JavaScript…just because it sounded like a good idea)
  4. Various and sundry management tasks (Tuesday was wall-to-wall meetings), that while they distracted from the actual part of the job I enjoy, needed to be done for the good of the team and company

I wrote first draft of six chapters of a Kotlin book I'm currently writing in LeanPub. The draft is nowhere near good (as expected), but I managed to restrain myself from editing it. I need to always remind myself that drafts are not supposed to be edited. Habits are hard to break.

Started working on a new project called Vezlo this week πŸš€
It’s an open-source SDK that turns source code into a semantic knowledge base β€” auto-docs, natural language search, and AI assistant–ready.
Excited to share more as we get closer to launch!
