What was your win this week?

Hey y'all πŸ‘‹

Hope you all have wonderful weekends!

Looking back on this past week, what was something you were proud of accomplishing?

All wins count β€” big or small πŸŽ‰

Examples of 'wins' include:

  • Starting a new project
  • Fixing a tricky bug
  • Playing with legos 🧱

A bunch of legos stacking together to create a giant lego brick that then gets stacked together with other bricks to create another giant lego brick... it loops around in an endless cycle

  • I posted two blog entries this week - part 4 of my cycle on spiral patterns, and an unrelated one about laying out dots on a dice using CSS :nth-child, :is and :not pseudo-classes and display: flex (and also made a 3D dice doing the same but with display: grid)
  • Part 3 of said cycle is apparently "Trending in CSS" this week :O
  • Getting back into SVG and making a lot of fun discoveries. E.g. I had no idea even viewBox was animatable :D
  • Following my recent (re)discovery of the sheer joy of swimming while on holiday, wife and I decided to make it a regular thing. Testing local swimming pools - a quarter of a century after I last visited one.

Learned a lot about UI/UX design! I may have mentioned this before, but I am not an artist, so a lot of these concepts are foreign to me. It's a nice challenge though!

I trained around 70 developers for 12 hours (4 hours for 3 days) a course on intermediate Python. This was done internally at my company. I have all the material compiled in a GitHub repository: github.com/debakarr/intermediate-p... if someone wants to have a look πŸ˜„

I survived the week where most projects, challenges, live courses, and stuff converged into one. Juggling 4 main things it's pretty demanding lol.

recorded a full update to one of my most popular Linked In Learning course - "learning Hadoop" - added Cloud implementation, and Kubernetes to cluster demos. Process data faster and cheaper FTW.
