Awww yayeah, Bala! Nicely done. Appreciate ya participating so consistently on DEV. 🙌
Yeah!
This week we launched the first episode of CodeNewbie Podcast's Season 25 ! It was a long anticipated launch and I redid the graphics for the new season prior, so the release felt a lot more satisfying. Happy to see how it goes!
It’s a little off topic, but I get to go on a weekend trip just my wife and I. We haven’t gotten to do any trips like this just the two of us in eight years, so I’m rather excited.
Oh that's awesome, Mike! I hope y'all have a great time.
Got my new virtual machine to compile and run. Didn't work but it's getting to hello world. Right now it's 4k lines of code which is just the start but it's taking form.
Got my first freelance gig approved and a request for more. So I'll be working on that. This was an accomplishment from way back but it got published this week, the 5th and final interview I did with Adam Bien is up.
Woot! Sounds like a nice productive week, Shai. Good stuff!
Apparently this comment was very appreciated by the dev.to community 😂
Good stuff right there
Saw whales this week!
Hot diggity! I got just the song for you, Nick...
Wow!
Streamed just this night about more 7 hours, and amused with people in chat and also in game.
It was very funny 🤩
OOoo nice! What game, Thomas?
Minecraft 🌱
No win on my side this week. Been doing some automation testing on our web app using Selenium and Python and l'm still stuck. It's been days since l started working on it and am too far from winning.
All good! Sometimes it's like that. But, I bet you're getting closer... figuring out the things that don't work is still progress.
Really? Thank you for putting in some hope in me @michaeltharrington. I can now have a bright weekend knowing that l've been doing great with the lil progress l made for the past days hahahahaha.
I appreciate you!
sending you much strength , you got this!!!!!
Thank you, @likemcode
Dove into the doldrums of our software's workflow engine... wrote company wiki article about it. Pumped out a few PR's to add new states and transitions. Happy to see them accepted and get merged. Also worked on adding new data reports... sounds boring, but nice to add value...
It's been a long week mounted with stressful tasks and bugs in one of the projects I'm currently working on.
However, I received a Warm Welcome Badge from the community.
Advanced the company design system project a lot this look
I finished up with half of Rust the book. Also, created database for Bleach anime. Of you want to know all bankai, check it out!
Finished my Azure AZ-104 certification prep course. Started digging in to learning Docker/Kubernetes. Wrote some elegant stuff in Python.
just finished completing all 4 rooms of my solo virtual escape room!
I've got 1.5k+ followers 😍
Scored an 89% on a Codility Code Test for a unicorn I'm interviewing with, making all the practice tests I took this week worth it.
Icebreaker Badge! 🧊🔨 hope so
Finally, published my first blog on dev.to this week. I had been procrastinating for last 15-20 days.
Learned a lot about UI/UX design! I may have mentioned this before, but I am not an artist, so a lot of these concepts are foreign to me. It's a nice challenge though!
I managed to create a tricky animation the designer requested! It was tricky but so worth the effort x
finished my masters degree exam , though but got through by the grace of GOD
3 Wins:
I trained around 70 developers for 12 hours (4 hours for 3 days) a course on intermediate Python. This was done internally at my company. I have all the material compiled in a GitHub repository: github.com/debakarr/intermediate-p... if someone wants to have a look 😄
I got the CodeNewbie badge this week and my article got featured in the Top Featured CodeNewbie Posts! 💜😍

I survived the week where most projects, challenges, live courses, and stuff converged into one. Juggling 4 main things it's pretty demanding lol.
Can you all please follow me on github i have only 8 Followers😭
Made a logo genrator
recorded a full update to one of my most popular Linked In Learning course - "learning Hadoop" - added Cloud implementation, and Kubernetes to cluster demos. Process data faster and cheaper FTW.
I signed a contract with LinkedIn Learning to create a course on an AI topic! Now I just need to finish writing the book before the course project ramps up...
