Hola.

I never wrote a single line of text to express my thoughts or learnings. Was it because I was lazy? I'm not sure.
Recently, I heard a line from Jordan Peterson: Learn to write; writing helps to clear your mind. But for me, it never did, because I didn't know how to write.

So I decided to start writing and learn. And after a certain period of time, I quit, because I was too lazy. It was easier for me to scroll through my phone rather than sitting down, writing, rewriting, formatting, and organizing thoughts.

The Change

But it had to change. I forced myself to write things I learn and what I think. The reason is not for others to read, but for myself, so that I know I can express my thoughts in a clear way.

It's a form of public speaking, but with the advantage of being able to refactor the sentence, because you get more time to think. And in this way, after a few sessions, I noticed that the refactoring reduced significantly and clarity came more naturally.

What Writing Gave Me

It made me realize that explaining something to someone gives you more power to understand concepts clearly than keeping it to yourself.

On top of that, it also helps with my typing speed, because I have to write at the same speed as I think, which builds some muscle memory in my favor.

If you're reading this by any chance, write something yourself too. Maybe not in the cloud. You could also do it in your own way, in your own place.

Stay hungry, stay foolish. Not my words though 😆

Catch you peeps someday. Bonjour!✨
