FixFirst AI — Replit Buildathon Update
I built FixFirst AI, a gamified home repair triage assistant that helps homeowners understand what to fix first when something breaks, leaks, cracks, stains, or looks unsafe.
Home repair decisions can be stressful because most people do not know what is urgent, what can wait, what might become expensive, or when they should call a professional.
FixFirst AI helps turn that confusion into a clear repair plan. Users can describe a home issue, upload photos, and get an AI-assisted triage organized into:
- Fix First — urgent or high-impact issues
- Fix Soon — problems that should be addressed before they get worse
- Monitor — lower-risk issues to keep an eye on
I also designed the experience as a mission-based journey instead of a boring checklist, making home maintenance feel more guided and less overwhelming.
The goal is not to replace contractors or inspectors, but to help people make better first decisions, avoid costly delays, and prepare better before contacting a professional.
