Important soft skills for a developer

So I had a thought, and I'm curious for discussion. What do you think are some of the most important "soft skills" for developers to pick up. The kind where you wish someone had told you, or that picking it up helped you in your career.

For me its the ability to listen and focus on understanding what others are saying before you respond. Thoughts?

I forget where I first heard/read this, but something I always try to keep in mind when speaking with others on my team: 'Is what I am about to say true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?'.

Being mindful of what you say (and how you say it) can really help communication within your team.
