Day 1060 : Ship 'Em Out

liner notes:

  • Professional : So many meetings today. It was good seeing everyone. Got to a demo of the project I've been working on. Got some good feedback and an idea that I didn't even think of that I think could make things go a lot smoother. It'll require doing things I've never done before. Should be interesting. Worked on that and made some progress. Also responded to some community questions. One, I had to do some research on. haha

  • Personal : Worked on radio show. Looked through Bandcamp to see what I wanted to pick up this week. Spent some time on the work project so that I could get it demo ready. Watched a bunch of videos reviewing different 3D modeling and CAD programs.

A stark, arid landscape with several dead trees silhouetted against the bright blue sky. The sun is high in the sky, casting long shadows across the barren desert. The location is Deadvlei, Namibia.

I think I settled on the CAD program I'll use to make 3D prints. Looks pretty good, but if you want to do commercial stuff you need to pay over $1000 a year for a license. So, my plan is to use the free/hobby version while I learn the program and build little prototypes of parts of my ideas. Show some folks to see if they are interested. Then once I feel comfortable with it and have my small business and online shop set up, I'll purchase a license so that it will be a business expense. Then I'll crank out my ideas and ship 'em out! haha Going to pick up the projects on Bandcamp and put together the social media posts for tomorrow. There should be a new episode of "DanDaDan" out. I'll watch that and maybe spend a little time on my work project so that I can take it a little easy on Friday.

Have a great night!

peace piece
