Day 1075 : Happy New Year

liner notes:

  • Saturday : Happy New Year! Had the first show of the year. My co-host was able to come through to the station. Had a really good time. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com

  • Sunday : Sunday went by super quick! Got a few things done over at https://untilit.works . Did some more research and made my first official business purchase.

  • Professional : Whew... today was the first day back to work. It was good to see folks. I spent a bunch of time responding to questions from the community. Approved a pull request. Updated some dependencies on a project. Had a rough time with permissions on my laptop to be able to install and update the dependencies. Made some code changes. Got it done and pushed it to the repo. Didn't get a chance to test it though. Going to do that tomorrow.

  • Personal : It's been a long minute since I've posted here. I've been enjoying my holidays. Not only enjoying my time but also being productive and getting ready for 2025. I started a business officially! Been getting some ready for that. I've been creating and printing prototypes and showing folks to gauge their interest in them. The interest seems pretty high! I set up a coming soon website for my business. I started a dashboard where clients will be able to place orders and create invoices. I'm even thinking that I'll need to expand based on the interests and prospects for far. I'm looking at buying a shed and ordered another printer and some more filament. Pretty excited!

A large, dark rock formation with an arch in the middle rises out of calm, reflective water. The sky is soft, pastel colors. The location is Hvitserkur, Iceland.

I drew up a layout for how I want my workshop space to be for the shed. I labeled where I want certain things to go. Now I'm going to actually see the dimensions of the things that will go in those spots to get an estimate of the overall size of the shed. I've got some of the items to use as reference, but will have to look online for the other stuff and where I can purchase them. After that, there's some modifications I want to the prototypes I've made. I want to get them done tonight, so I can print them tomorrow. So yeah, looks like 3D printing will be a large part of my life going forward. haha Be prepared (or warned) to read a lot more about it here! haha.

Have a great night!

peace piece
