Day 1178 : Thank God

  • Saturday : Did the radio show from the hotel room in Atlanta. I was able to fix my audio player by purchasing a new SD card and transferred the songs over. Luckily, the songs appeared on the old one so that I could copy them to my laptop first. My co-host was back at the station in Orlando and broadcasted the show over the airwaves.   • Sunday : Drove back from Atlanta. The rain was vicious! Some parts I could not see more than 5 feet in front of me. Had my hazard lights on and drove real slow. Luckily I made it. Thank God! Super tired and went right to sleep.

  • Professional : Been trying to catch up with what I missed last week being at the conference. I responded to the things that people needed me to do like review some files, but I wasn't able to attend meetings because I was in conference sessions. Had a couple of meetings. Started working on my expenses for the trip. Not a bad way to start off the week.

  • Personal : So, I've been in Atlanta for the past week for work. I got to attend a couple of local meetups, Atlanta Tech Week and RenderATL. Got to learn from and speak with really smart folks doing some dope things! While there, I was able to watch the 1st 3 episodes of the new season of "Dan Da Dan" in theaters. It was really good and there was a section at the end with some directors' commentary. I saw that the final Wu-Tang Clan tour was coming to town while I was there, so I went to see that! It was a really good show. Glad I was able to catch it. There was another concert that the conference hosted to close out the event. It was a carnival theme and there were a couple of Reggae artists that I grew up on. It was a really eventful, productive and fun week. I updated my travel blog with photos and videos. Even though I was away for work and getting stuff done, I kept thinking about the time I could be 3D printing and shipping orders. The first batch of folks got their orders and one person said they are really happy with the items. That makes me feel really good because I put a lot of time into it. haha Got the printers printing. I'm going to put together a new filament rack since the last one fell over and I had to return it. This one is metal and I think will be a lot sturdier. We'll see. Going to work on the radio show while these prints are going. I also want to do some more research into the stuff I saw at the conference. I also need to rest up some more.
