Day 1188 : Déjà vu

liner notes:

  • Professional : No clue where the day went. Just worked on a blog post, did some research and the day was over.

  • Personal : Not a great day 3D printing wise. On printer still didn't print even though I cleared out some stuck filament. I ended up just replacing the nozzle because I think it's clogged or something. Cool. Started another print, the black filament printed fine, but when it switched to white, my power went out. Awesome. When the power came back on it continued to print the white, but it looked really rough. I'm not sure if it was printing rough before the outage, but I had to stop the print. I printed a test print with the white filament and it started off fine, but progressively got worse. I printed the same test print in a black filament and it printed great. Dried the white filament for a couple of hours and tired again. It printed the starter lines fine for calibration, but then actually printed nothing. I've got it drying now to see if it will work tomorrow. One of my other printers was printing a pretty rough first layer and from what I read, the fix is to tighten some screws behind the nozzle. Since I already replaced the nozzle in the other machine, I was in a tinkering mood. haha When I tried to remove the nozzle, I ran into some issues. It looks like some filament got behind the nozzle and got it stuck to the print head. I had to use some pliers to jiggle it off. I tightened the screws and started a print job. Everything is printing fine, then I get an error about the extruder or something. Déjà vu from the other printer. So I take it apart during my lunch break, I don't see any filament stuck in there. Then the power outage happened. I put it back together and tried the print when the power came back on. Nope, same error. I just replaced this nozzle. I had my other printers printing when the power went out. The printers tried to continue the jobs, but they got messed up. So basically all the work I started this morning before my day job was lost. I reran all the calibration tasks on each printer and started again. Good news is that it seems like everything is printing fine now. I did get a weird SD card error on one of the printers. Maybe something happened when the power went out.

A magnificent mountain range bathed in the warm glow of either sunrise or sunset, featuring dramatic jagged peaks that pierce a cloudy sky. wisps of clouds or mist cling to the lower parts of the mountains, adding to the ethereal atmosphere. The slopes show variations in texture and color, hinting at sparse vegetation or rock formations. The overall impression is one of grandeur and natural splendor. The location is Puez Geisler, Italy.

Placed an order for some white filament from different manufacturers to try out just in case if drying this spool doesn't work out. Got a couple of hours left on these prints. While that is happening, going to eat dinner and go through tracks for the radio show. I failed to go to bed early last night. Trying not to do that again tonight. I'm out!

Have a great night!

peace piece
