Day 1190 : Holiday

liner notes:

  • Professional : Had our tooling team meeting and did a retrospective of the past quarter. It was cool to take a look back at what we accomplished and hear everyone's perspective. Then we had a wider team meeting. It was good to see everyone. I responded to a community question and worked on a blog post for the rest of the day.

  • Personal : I spent most of last night putting together the custom boxes that the items from the collaboration will come in. That took a minute and whole lot of gluing. As it got darker, I closed up the shed and spent some time working on the radio show and putting together the list of projects I picked up on Bandcamp. I don't even remember if I watched anything last night.

An aerial shot captures a breathtaking view of a rugged coastline where deep blue ocean waves crash into dramatic, dark rocky cliffs. A narrow channel of foamy, white water extends from the impact point, contrasting sharply with the deep blue and turquoise hues of the surrounding sea. Lush green vegetation clings to the edges of the cliffs, adding a touch of vibrant life to the powerful natural scene. The location is Big Sur, CA.

I have no clue why this printer will not print this model. I was having issues with the white filament and the black filament was fine. Then the opposite would happen. I would print a test disc model and sometimes that wouldn't work for each color, but then it would work for both. I dried the crap out of the white filament. As of right now, the white and black filaments print the test print well but I tried the model I need again and the white wasn't printing right. I'm thinking it may be the model even though I was literally just clicking reprint on the screen and everything was all good until I got a jam or something when I put the new white filament in when the other one ran out. I went back to the model and returned all the settings to their defaults and started printing. We'll see how it turns out. Another printer that I took apart yesterday started to click. I think the issue was that the extruder was slipping or something on the filament. I know the extruder and/or the nozzle were not clogged because it would print and after awhile start clicking and then throw an error. I looked through some forum posts and a person said they just raised the temperature on the nozzle. I looked at the label on the filament and it did say that for the speed that I could go a little higher on the temperature. So I went up 10 degrees and so far so good. No clicking. I've got the final set of prints for the night going. Got like an hour and a half left. Going to work on the social media posts for the projects I picked up on Bandcamp to post tomorrow. It's a holiday so I have the day off and my main focus is to print and assemble whatever items I need to get as many packages completed and shipped this week. The one model I've been trying to get to print properly again takes like 11 hours and I'm going to make sure the white filament looks good before I leave the shed. I may have to try and print the model on a couple of printers to be able to get what I need to ship the orders. So yeah, no post tomorrow due to the holiday and I have the day off. I'll still be doing the radio show on Saturday (https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com) and the study sessions on Sunday (https://untilit.works)

Have a great night!
