  • Professional : Had a pretty good day. Got to do a User testing session for some new UI workflows for the developer site and got to give some feedback. Spent the rest of the day diving deep into MCP servers and spinning up an example. I got one pretty useful, at least I think so, feature working. I ran into a BUNCH of technical issues and I decided for this project that I would use AI as a rubber duck. I think it worked out well. I would make sure I understood what the issue I was running into as much as I could and then break it down for the AI and if possible give some of my thoughts on a solution and see what the AI thought and make suggestions. I was not only able to get a lot done, but I understand what is happening so that I can do it again on my own. Next thing I know, the day has been over for like half an hour.

  • Personal : Still doing a bunch of 3D printing. I picked up projects on Bandcamp and worked on the radio show.

I've decided that I'm going to give myself some grace when trying to get these orders shipped. For example, the past couple of Friday, I would stay up very late to try and assemble and package as many orders I could and get up super early to go to the post office so I could drop them off at the counter. It would basically wreck me for the whole weekend and then start off the week super tired. My new plan is to continue having the printers running during the day and do assembly after work, but instead of trying to get everything packed up and ready for shipping on Friday night / Saturday morning. I'm just going to do all that on Sunday and ship the packages on Monday during lunch. It's one extra trip, but I think my brain and body will thank me. haha Plus, I'm still getting caught up with prints when the printer wasn't working properly. I've also got another printing the same model and the same file take less time and it looks like the prints coming off the original printer. So, since I don't have so much on my plate for tonight, I can actually take time to put together the radio show for tomorrow and maybe get a good night's rest. Back to work assembling some items before these final prints finish and I get something to eat and work on the show.
