Day 1200 : Trying to Find a Balance

  • Professional : Pretty good day today. Got to catch up with some team members. Got my manager to try the MCP server I've been working on this week. They got to see me demo it in our meeting, but I was able to get it published so that others could try it on their machines. I wanted them to test if I actually got the environment variables stuff worked out because I had them in a .env file previously, but now you can set them in the configuration of the server. I wanted to see if it would still work if there was never a .env file at all. They said they were pretty impressed with how it was working. They asked the chat bot different commands that I never thought of and the MCP server was able to complete the tasks. Pretty cool.

  • Personal : Just been 3D printing and getting orders ready to ship. Also worked on the social media posts for the projects I picked up on Bandcamp this week.

Going to pack up some orders and get them ready to be shipped tomorrow before the radio show. Got the printers on their last jobs, maybe. The new solar battery came in. The solar panels are supposed to come in another day. The solar battery was at 30% when I got it and I plugged it in to charge it to 100%. Only took like an hour. Even without the solar panels attached, with 2 printers running off of it for like 4 hours, there's still a lot juice left. I may try to run some prints overnight. But then again, I don't want to drain the battery so that I'm waiting a whole day to charge it back up. That's what's happening with my other solar battery. It's been charging like 2 days and I only have a few items plugged into it during the day. Still trying to find a balance with 3D printing and charging with solar panels. I think once I get the solar panels and extra battery, I should be in a good place. After packing these orders, I'm going to work on the radio show.
