Day 1206 : The Heat

  • Saturday : As of late, I've left earlier so that I could catch the post office in time to ship the orders I put together during the week. So, I drop off my shipments. I think they are getting used to seeing me because one of the folks had the stickers they put on my packages ready. haha Afterwards, I went to my PO Box and there was a slip. I never get any mail there and of course the first one is about an order that was returned. Of course it would be the order where I didn't get a confirmation. It was one of the earlier orders. The thing is that when I looked it up, there were actually supposed to be 2 boxes and I only got one. The office closed by the time I realized it. I checked the tracking number and it's at the post office. I'm going to call them this week to double check and have them put that one aside. Well, I got some food and headed to the station to do some coding on a side project before going on air. My co-host came back from Japan and we spoke about his trip.   • Sunday : Had a long but productive day over at https://untilit.works Did a bunch of research on some additional solar panels to add to my set up.

  • Professional : Had a meeting to start the day. Responded to a community question. Did an interview for a position we have at my job. Really cool person. I got the MCP servers published to my company's account and made sure it still works. Had a meeting with my manager to discuss what's coming up this week. Worked on getting a GitHub Codespace working with a repository that I want to use as part of a workshop I have coming up.

  • Personal : Just been 3D printing and getting orders ready to be shipped.

I think I'm getting closer to figuring out the right balance to get these 3D printers on solar power. I have 4 smaller printers on one solar battery and it's been running fine all day. The issue is that the level is too low to try and print overnight. I'm pretty sure that once the new panels come in next week, I'll have enough juice stored up during the day that I'll be able to run a print overnight. The next thing would be to see if I can get one of the bigger printers on the other solar battery. Got the last prints for the night going. I have a few orders ready to be packed up and ready to ship. It looks like my other printer's nozzle is clogged (again). I ordered some nozzles for that printer as well as extras for my other ones. Going to get to packing and listen to tracks for the radio show.
