Day 1213 : The Regular

liner notes:

  • Professional : It's Wednesday, but I had meetings like it was Thursday! haha One of them was one that I scheduled with an organizer in a city I'm going to for a conference to try and set up a workshop. Had a really great chat and it looks like it'll happen. Other than a bunch of meetings, I worked on some prototypes of sample projects to see if I can get them running in GitHub Codespaces so folks can try them out right in the browser. Right at the end of the day, I finally got this WebSocket server to act right, I think. Going to test it out more tomorrow.

  • Personal : Last night: 3D printing, assembling items, packing orders, getting ready to ship, the regular stuff. I did spend a lot of time researching. The first supplier of the filament of certain colors STILL hasn't made any rolls available for months now! I read somewhere that they had a bad batch and stopped making them. I'm basically out of some colors that I use for these orders. So I looked up to see if any other filament companies used the same manufacturer. It's said that a lot of these companies use the same manufacturer, but just package the filament differently. I got a couple of company names and search for the material type and colors. I could really tell from the photos, so I just ordered one roll of each color I need from like 5 different companies, haha. One has to be either the same or really close, I hope. I also saw that the place I bought some solar equipment from was have a flash sale. I've been really thinking about getting a couple of more 3D printers on solar power, but they are a lot larger than the ones I have converted over now. So I ask Google's Gemini to do some research on a specific models of solar generators and the 3D printers I want to hook them up to and do a feasibility report. Turns out that one model has enough that I could run either printer with no problem and maybe even both for shorter period of time. With that in mind, I watched a bunch of video reviews looking for certain things. There was a package deal that came with solar panels and I did more research on those. At the end, I decided to go ahead and purchase the package deal and I had a coupon to get some more money off. It's a business expense. haha

An aerial view of a rugged coastline with a sandy beach and dramatic, golden-colored rock formations jutting out into a vibrant ocean. The water around the rocks is a stunning mix of deep blue, turquoise, and white foam where waves crash, creating a dynamic contrast with the calm, sandy beach in the foreground. The overall scene captures the raw beauty of a coastal landscape. The location is Big Sur, Ca, US.

I'm really tired! haha I only 2 shipping boxes left. I ordered more that should be coming in by Monday. I've got 2 set of orders printed and just need to be assembled, packed and ready to ship. I'll do that tomorrow. I'm really tired. haha I've got one more set of prints running. It's about to rain so I'm going to head in, eat some dinner, I need to send an email because a couple of my solar panels are cracked, go through tracks for the radio show and what I'll pick up on Bandcamp, work on the application for the next thing I want to offer with my business, do some light research on something I want to create with 3D printing. Whew that sounds like a lot. We'll see how much I get done, because again, I'm tired. haha

Have a great night!

peace piece
