  • Professional : Had a couple of meetings to start the day off. It was good to see everyone since taking off for the holiday. In between meetings, I did some research on a question from the community, came up with a proposed solution and asked some folks about it to get some feedback and make sure I'm on the right track. After the last meeting, I spent the rest of the day working on implementing a real-time collaboration feature in the Web Component I made a while ago. Yesterday, I ran into an issue with the video not publishing in a certain amount of time. Got that fixed. Worked on some optimizations with the help of Google's AI, Gemini. I lowered a throttling value so that things would run a little smoother, but ran into an issue. Gemini suggested other options I could do like instead of drawing lines, I could use a quadratic curve that would take less data needed to draw a line. There were a couple of other optimizations that I didn't even think of to make. AI has really opened me up to other areas of knowledge that I didn't know about. Been learning a lot and getting stuff done at the same time!

  • Personal : Last night, I unexpectedly went down a rabbit hole of retirement investing, haha. I had a rollover IRA from a previous job and it was sitting in cash losing value due to inflation. I again used AI to help me understand some terminology and to compare and contrast different mutual funds. Also took a little time to figure out what projects I want to pick up on Bandcamp.

My main focus for tonight is to pick up the Bandcamp projects and get the social media posts ready. I also want to put together the tracks for the polls that people listening to the radio show can vote for what we play and get the social media posts for those options ready. I may end the night watching anime. I was doing a lot of coding at work today so I don't know if I'm going to do any coding tonight. Going to eat dinner and get to work.
