  • Sunday : Did my study sessions at https://untilit.works and planned to head to a meeting at the station. I say 'planned' because as I was going to get ready to head out, the wind got really strong, like REALLY STRONG and it was rainy. I decided not to go to the meeting and worked on stuff for the shed. I finally reprinted the light holders I made and got the them installed and now all the lights are working and it's a lot brighter in there.

  • Monday : It was a National Holiday to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr, and I rested up and then worked on some design work for an vinyl project and printed some more prototypes for another project.

  • Professional : To start the day, I responded to some community questions. Then I focused on converting a couple of tutorials that were primarily centered around using a CLI and coding locally on their machine to a version that can run entirely in the browser and can be used as a server for other projects. I knocked out the 2 tutorials in time for the meeting with my manager. Instead of me demoing the projects, I've been working on, I had them spin up the demos themselves to see how the process would work. They were able to get everything running successfully. That was good to see another person be able to get things working. Sometimes, I'm so close to the code that I'm not sure if there will be confusion when someone else uses the application.

  • Personal : So, I've been planning and prepping for my upcoming trip. I had Google Gemini do Deep Research and generate a report to take in consideration the time of year for the destination and what items I should pack that would fit into a single carry-on. I then had it create a website with the data just to see what it would create. It was actually pretty good. I sent the AI some links to items that I wanted to check to see if they fulfilled its requirements. It would tell me yes or no and give me reasons. I would also as it to compare 2 items and give a recommendation on which to select and why. It was pretty good. I was able to place an order that should be hear soon and I can try and get everything packed up way in advance.

Heard back from some folks so I'm hoping to be able to send them some samples and get some orders going. I also got feedback on the designs I made for some the artwork of a project that I'm trying to get ordered this week to hopefully be able to release it at the end of March. I'm going to add some things and make some requested changes and send them back to the artist. I'll probably also put together some social media posts for the tracks we'll be playing on the radio show so I can get a head start. As far as code, I want to add the ability to send emails when a person places an order on my sites and also when I update orders so people can be kept in the loop. I'll look into what it'll take to make it work. I've already done some research in the email sending library I'm looking to use. I know there is some setup with mail servers and the like so I'm not sure how time consuming that will be. Going to eat dinner and get started.
