Day 1306 : Energy Boost

  • Professional : Had a pretty good day. Worked on cleaning up some applications and demos. I created a bunch of epics and tickets to track what I've been working on. Had a meeting with my manager. I wanted to get the okay for a sample application for a feature I refactored from an older demo from last week. It involves using images, and the links used don't work anymore. So instead of linking to another free image hosting site, I just used Google Gemini AI to generate some images and added them to the repo so that they will always be available to the application. Got the go ahead to merge the application to the repo and close the ticket. We spoke about other things on my list and luckily I got the green light to start working on them. Spent the rest of the day working on wrapping up projects.

  • Personal : Got my suitcase packed for my trip. I was able to fit everything into my carry-on. I guess Google Gemini was right. I even got my Galaxy XR headset in there. It was tight, but I was able to get it closed. Using the compression bags really helped. I'll need to open it up to get my headset to test some stuff for work, but I'm glad it all fit. Last night, I also started working on some stuff for the radio show.

There's a couple of things I need to find that I want to take on my upcoming trip so I'm going to spend some time trying to find them. I think they are in another suitcase and one thing I could have sworn I saw it somewhere recently. I still need to deploy and test the code for the transactional emails API I added to the Firebase Cloud Functions. Not sure why I haven't yet. A lot of stuff is happening. Going to work some more on the radio show and get ahead so that I will have enough tracks while I'm on my trip. Back to the search for these items, but I'll eat dinner first so I have an energy boost. haha Oh, there's a new Marvel show called "Wonder Man". I may end the night watch an episode of that.
