Professional : Today flew by! I had a couple of meetings as usual. Responded to a community question. Spent the rest of the day finishing up the demo for our offsite recording for social media. It's a WebXR application based on a couple of demos from XR Blocks. The part I added was being about to accept a phone call inside the headset while in the application. For the skit we will be recording, a coworker will be calling another coworker. I added their profile picture so it pops up when they call. I think it will be pretty funny. Adding the voice call was pretty straight forward considering it's basically what I do for work. The hurdles I ran into was in combining the demos into one. It involves a lot of Three.js and math calculating vectors and velocity and meshes and other stuff I already forgot. haha Luckily, I had Google Gemini to help explain some of this stuff to me. Some extra stuff that I thought would be cool to add to the demo worked in the simulator, but not in the headset. It's fine. The things we really wanted for the skit work. I think I was trying to do too much at one time. haha
Personal : Last night, I used Google Antigravity to help fix a library issue that I was running into with the demo I mentioned. It didn't take long for it to help me get unstuck. I also got all the files uploaded to the pressing plant for the 12" vinyl project that I'm helping some folks release. Just have to wait for the artwork proofs for that and the 7" project I submitted earlier in the week. While going through Bandcamp for the projects to pick up this week, I got an idea for a item that I could make for one of the labels that I've been buying music from. I bought some filament to print some samples so I can show them. It's based off something I made already, so it should just be a slight change. I also put together the social media posts for the tracks people vote to hear on the radio show. Ended the night watching an episode of "Wonder Man".
Before writing this blog, I put together the social media posts for the Bandcamp projects I'll be picking up tonight. I want to start putting together the starter tracks for the radio show. I'll probablu work on the design for the idea I had yesterday since the filament came in today so I can print a prototype and show the company. I still haven't deployed the email sending function I added to my application. Not sure why I'm so blocked on this. haha I'll do it tomorrow. I also got an idea for how I want to layout my website https://HIPHOP.family . I'll probably sketch it out so that I have all the pages I need laid out. My plan is to finish watching "Wonder Man" because I'm starting to see people talking about it on YouTube and I don't want to accidentally see spoilers. haha
