Day 1310 : Happiness

liner notes:

  • Saturday : Pretty normal day. Got up and got ready to head to the station. Had a pretty good time as usual. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com

A side-by-side tribute image featuring portraits of Michael ‘5000’ Watts and Sly Dunbar. On the left, Michael Watts is shown in a black Swisha House hoodie with his hands pressed together in prayer and eyes closed. On the right, Sly Dunbar wears a black beanie and turtleneck, looking directly at the camera with a thoughtful expression and his hand to his chin. The portraits are framed by thick black bars with bold yellow text reading

  • Sunday : It was soooo cold when I got back to my spot. My van actually said when I started it to be careful of ice on the road. haha I made it to my place and basically just slept and kept warm for the whole day. I didn't do the study sessions at https://untilit.works but I did do some chores like, post radio show promo work, laundry and paid my bills for the month. I also started working on the website for my business. I thought of a layout that could be cool and started working on a prototype.

  • Professional : Started the day with a meeting with some folks to get some more clarity on a project and what they would need from us. Then I replied to a community question that came in over the weekend. I reworked the title and abstract that I had Gemini help me work through my general ideas. We pivoted and went another direction. I did some more research and rewrote the title and abstract to fit more of the topics I wanted to cover. Once I got that cleaned up, I submitted it to the Events team's Call For Papers board where we track everything and included my manager so they could go ahead and approve them. We spoke about it last week and they were cool with it. I also started work on the stripped down version of an application I created so that I can focus only on the parts relevant to the blog post that I'll be writing about explaining what I made and how other developers can use it if they like.

  • Personal : This week is going to be a busy week. I want to get my business website up and running. We approved the 7" artwork for the project I'm working on. There's items I want to prototype to make sure they can work. I got an email from some folks that want to place an order of some prototypes that I sent them. I still need to finish setting up the transactional emails for my project. Since I'll be out next week, I'll need to prep 2 weeks worth of tracks for the radio show.

A vast and awe-inspiring view of deep space, showcasing a dense field of distant stars and swirling nebulae. The cosmic landscape is filled with clusters of brilliant white stars scattered across a dark, velvety backdrop, with soft clouds of purple, magenta, and deep blue interstellar dust and gas glowing faintly throughout the scene. The image captures the immense scale and beauty of the universe, evoking a sense of wonder and infinite depth. The setting is Deep Space.

I made some good progress on my company website. I ran into some weird positioning issues, but Google Gemini through Antigravity was able to explain to me the issue and help me fix it. I learned a lot in the process. I was able to apply it to do something similar to another part of the site. The happiness I felt when I was able to use what I just learned was great. Going to work on it more. I also want to go through some tracks so I can start putting together the playlist for the next two shows. Going to get to work before it gets too cold.

Have a great night!

peace piece
