Day 1320 : Action

liner notes:

  • Professional : Got up a little earlier to listen to a workshop on wellness at work. I had it on in the background as I worked on a demo application. Picked up some pretty good tips. Now, I just need to put them into action. haha Didn't have any meetings so I basically working on getting this application to a working state. It's involving WebMCP and WebLLM so I'm working with a bunch of AI. The thing about developing applications that use UI, the same input doesn't necessarily mean you get the same output each time. That is definitely been my experience creating this application. So, I used Gemini to fight AI with AI. haha Anytime the AI in my application would do something random, I would ask Gemini to explain it and how I can fix it. It worked pretty well. By the end of the day, I got a good understanding of the limits of running LLM models in the browser.

  • Personal : Last night, I went down a rabbit hole of watching review videos, reading documentation and asking AI some questions and reading the links it would provide for the xTool F2 Ultra UV. I think I got scammed on Kickstarter for another UV laser machine that I backed. I backed it like in August of last year and it was supposed to ship like in November/December. There has been little to no updates on the Kickstarter page and I've emailed them for an update but haven't heard back even now. I told my credit card company that I used to purchase it and was granted a charge back so I got my money back. This xTool is an actual product that is shipping right now and I've seen people using it for a few months. I feel a lot better about purchasing it. I'm already thinking of new products I can create and even modifying some of the products I've been planning to use this tool instead because I think it could end up being faster, cheaper and still look great. So yeah, that's basically all I did last night except listening to some tracks for the radio show.

A dramatic, wide-angle view from a high mountain ridge overlooking a lush, green alpine valley. In the background, massive, jagged gray limestone peaks rise sharply into a heavy, dark, and moody cloud-filled sky. The steep slopes are a mix of verdant pastures and dense dark green evergreen forests, with sheer rock faces and deep ravines creating a rugged terrain. The scene is captured under flat, natural light, emphasizing the immense scale and stark beauty of the mountain range. The setting is Hoher Kasten in the Appenzell Alps, Switzerland.

I didn't purchase the xTool last night, because I wanted to sleep on it. I wrote out a list of things I could do with it and so I could look back on it today and make sure that it makes sense after doing some more research. Especially since I didn't get the other UV laser and xTool seems to have a good track record and reputation and the software seems pretty good. I decided to pick one up. I'm going to add the new machine to the ongoing discussions I'm having with Google Gemini Deep Research using it as my business consultant and run by some product ideas I have and see if it makes sense to replace/modify some of the items I was planning for this upcoming project to make things more efficient and include it into the workflow. While Gemini is cranking away at that, I'll check out some tracks for the radio show and to pick up on Bandcamp. I may do a little coding as well. We'll see where the night takes me. haha Now for dinner.

Have a great night!

peace piece
