liner notes:
- Saturday : Got up early so I could ship some records. After that, I got to the station and worked on some other projects before going live on air. Had a great time as usual. The recording of this week's show is at https://kNOwBETTERHIPHOP.com
Sunday : I 3D printed the model I've been working on to see how the parts fit together. It worked, kind of, but I want to make it fit more consistently and with less friction. I also used my laser to etch some designs on a couple of other parts. Most of the day and early evening was spent laying out the tarp that I will put my solar panels on. This way, the grass won't grow up around them like before.
Professional : Definitely woke up sore! haha Luckily I don't have to move around too much for my job. haha I updated an Angular example application using some Web Components I made to the latest version. Looks like a few things have changed from the 2 versions earlier that my example was using. I didn't realize there was an issue until I tried to get the application running for the talk I was giving in Atlanta. haha Even my example broke. Not sure why an older version of the framework would break, but it wasn't too much to update it. There's Signals now so I had to wrap my brain around that. I didn't have to do too much because the Web Components just work. I just had to figure out the framework and how to drop them in. I had my manager test it out to make sure it works during our meeting. It did! I also submitted my expenses from my Atlanta trip. I was waiting on a few charges to show up over the weekend. I also edited the recording of my talk in Orlando and blurred out the section where people joined the video call in the framework they chose. Got it uploaded so the organizer could use it on their YouTube channel. Ran an idea for a starter application by my manager and they thought it was cool. Did some coding on some upcoming projects. Yeah, pretty productive day to start the week.
Personal : So last night, I came up with what I think is a pretty cool idea for my business. I'm going to get started working on it because it is time sensitive since I want to present it to an artist that will be coming into town next month. I ordered some parts that should get here tomorrow. I need to find some filament that I know I ordered before.
Going to see if I can get the design in my head for the project down onto some paper as a sketch and then try and translate that into a 3D model so I can hopefully print a prototype tomorrow. I'll also probably go through some tracks for the radio show and see what's on Bandcamp to pick up this week.
Have a great night!
peace piece
