Professional : Whew still trying to recover from the last conference. Shouts to React Miami! It was like the busiest I've been at a booth ever! So many people! My throat was hurting me. Today, I took it kind of easy and only had one meeting today. Did some pair programming with a team mate on a new project. Reviewed a couple of Pull Requests and merged them in. Rest of the day, I worked on booking hotels and flights for upcoming events. When there's so many so close together, it gets difficult to plan everything out. Got to factor in pricing and flights for hotels depending on the dates selected. Some of the events are right after each other so I won't be coming home right after so I need to figure out the closest airport to where I will be.
Personal : Yesterday, I basically just slept and rested up. That was a long 3 hour drive from Miami. You can check out the photos and videos up at https://dwane.in/ReactMiami2022 .
Did my laundry during the day so that's ready to go. Going to iron and pack my bags. For the rest of the night, I'm going to finish up booking my flights and hotels. Also, I ordered a new Chromebook and paid for expedited shipping so I could get it for my trip tomorrow. I checked the tracking number and it's not going to get here till Monday, when I'm in London. They really let me down. That Chromebook was supposed to take the place of 2 laptops in my bag. I sent a message to make sure I'll get a refund for the expedited shipping I paid for.
