December was another busy month: I’ve managed to run Gamedev.js Survey 2024 and collected the record number of forms submitted. All that with some health issues and private matters in the background.

Games

Not this month.

Writing

More content published on the Gamedev.js website, with the help from João and Ryan again:

OP Guild

The usual stuff recently: talking about potential collaborations and sponsorships, getting new folks into Discord. Also managing Gamedev.js Survey , where OP Guild funds were used to setup some adverts and invite more participants, first time such approach since the start in 2021.

LittleJS Game Jam 35 entries

The LittleJS Game Jam (with OP Guild partnership) ended with 35 submitted games.

Events

Nothing interesting this time.

Other

Most of the month was taken over by Gamedev.js Survey 2024 - from opening on December 4th, promoting it the whole time wherever posible, up until closing on December 20th. We had a record breaking number of submitted forms, 620!

Plans for the next month

Write a Yearly Report , release Gamedev.js Survey 2024 results, prepare and ship js13kGames packages with t-shirts and gadgets, and make a game. What kind of Web Game Development studio am I running if I can’t even release a new game? It’s been a few years since the last one, way too long to be honest.
