If everything still comes back to you, you’re not running the business. The business is running you.
I think a lot of owner dependency hides in places that look normal. You have the website, inbox, calendar, spreadsheets, accounting system and customer records, but somebody still has to remember every follow-up, chase every approval, check every status and manually connect one step to the next.
Usually that person is the owner.
That is a big part of what I want Custom Systems to solve. Keep the tools that already make sense. Understand how the work actually moves. Then build the missing workflow, integration, internal tool or system around the parts that still depend too much on you.
You built the business. You shouldn’t have to be the business.
