My name is Eyal, and I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a tech geek.
So, in this blog post, I'll share the travel bag(s) I take on my vacations and tours abroad.
The 1st item on my list is my travel bag – a black organizer pouch I received as a gift for my 3rd year as an AWS Community Builder:
The next item on my list is a Google Chromecast with Google TV (4K), which enables me to connect to every hotel TV and watch my favorite TV shows:
To be able to connect to a hotel TV, I'm using an HDMI cable with braided nylon:
Since the Google Chromecast comes with a male connector, and in most hotels I'm having trouble inserting it directly into the back (or the side) of the TV, I've purchased an HDMI female-to-female connector:
Important note about using Google Chromecast – some streaming or TV platforms restrict you to IP addresses from certain countries, so I've purchased a subscription to ExpressVPN. Once I've installed their application for Google Chromecast, I'm able to VPN to any supported country from any location in the world and keep watching my favorite channels.
Since at the end of every day I have multiple USB devices that I need to charge (from Android phones, Google Chromecast, power banks, etc.), I'm using a MINIX P3 Pro 100W GaN USB Charger with replaceable plugs for multiple countries:
To allow me to charge various devices, I'm using a multi-charging cable I received in my 1st year in the AWS Community Builders program:
While I'm traveling on foot and navigating using Google Maps, at some point I need to recharge my phone, so I've purchased a UGREEN 67W Power Bank 20000mah. It comes with a built-in Type-C cable:
Since sometimes you want to charge an additional phone, I've purchased a UGREEN 100W USB Type-C to USB-C cable:
To connect a laptop to multiple Bluetooth earbuds while sitting in an airplane and be able to listen to music or watch a movie together, I've purchased an Eppfun 3040Pro Ultra Bluetooth 5.4 Transmitter:
When renting a car abroad, I've prepared another kit with everything I need for both navigating and charging.
To store all my car-related items, I've purchased a UGREEN Electronics Travel Organizer Hard Case:
To connect my mobile phone to Android Auto in the car, I'm using a CarlinKit 5.0&Mini5 Pro Wireless CarPlay Android Auto Adapter:
To charge multiple phones, I've purchased a UGREEN 90W Car Charger (which should even provide enough power to charge a laptop, if needed):
Since I like having my phone in front of me while driving (in case the car's screen is too small or in case the rented car doesn't have Android Auto), I've purchased a UGREEN Car Phone Holder Gravity Phone Stand, which connects to the car's air vent:
This is my travel kit, which has served me over the past several years, anywhere I travel.
