Introducing Floatkit — a floating productivity panel for Android.
The Problem
Every Android user knows this feeling.
You are in the middle of something — a conversation, a video, a document — and you need to do one small thing. Check a task. Write a thought down. Find a file. Copy a link.
So you switch apps. Then switch back. Then switch again.
Every switch breaks your focus. Every interruption costs you time. And there is no native Android solution that solves this. No floating panel. No always-accessible toolbar. Just endless app switching.
The Solution
Floatkit is a floating productivity sidebar that lives on the edge of your screen and works on top of every app on your phone.
One tap to open. One swipe to hide. No switching. No interruptions. Just instant access to every tool you need — right where you are.

The privacy-first angle resonates — I took the same approach with Money Me, a personal finance app I built for Android (money-me.com). No account linking, everything entered manually, nothing leaves the device. There's a genuine appetite for apps that just don't phone home.
Curious how the Play Store submission went for you? I'm still in the closed testing gate phase — Google needs 12 people to keep the app installed for 14 consecutive days before it'll let me publish to production. Bit of a hidden friction point for solo devs that nobody really warns you about.
Thanks for sharing! Totally agree — users appreciate apps that respect their privacy. Money Me sounds like a great concept!
As for Play Store submission, yes that 12-testers-for-14-days requirement is real friction for solo devs. My app got rejected on the first production application. But then i used an app and managed to get through it by sharing the testing link with tester community and friends. Persistence pays off — good luck, you've got this!
