"SaaS mode" is the feature that most separates HighLevel's top plan from the rest, and the most confusing one for small agencies. Is it a white-label app? A billing system? Something you need before you sign your first client? This guide explains what HighLevel SaaS mode actually does, what it costs, how setup works, and how to tell whether the upgrade is worth it for your agency yet.
Everything below comes from HighLevel's pricing page and help center, checked October 8, 2026 (sources at the end).
TL;DR: SaaS mode turns HighLevel into software you sell under your own brand. Clients buy a plan from your website or a checkout link, a sub-account is created for them automatically with your snapshot loaded, and you can rebill their phone, email and AI usage with your own markup. It's only on the $497/month Agency Pro plan ($4,970/year). The $297 Unlimited plan can rebill phone and email at cost, but not with a markup. Plans are built in the SaaS Configurator, which runs on Stripe (V1) or on an agency sub-account with any supported payment provider (V2). The extra $200/month pays off once markup margins and automated signups are worth more than that to you. In our hypothetical example, that takes about 10 clients each producing $20/month of usage margin. Agencies that sell flat-fee, done-for-you services often don't need it yet.
What is HighLevel SaaS mode?
In HighLevel's words, "SaaS Mode transforms HighLevel into your own sellable software product." Its pricing page says SaaS mode lets you "sell subscriptions directly from your website, automatically creating client accounts without any manual work from you," that you set the price, and that you can rebill for SMS, email usage, and other features (HighLevel pricing).
In practice it bundles four things:
- Plans you sell. Monthly or annual subscriptions with your own prices, features, trials, and add-ons.
- Self-serve checkout. A funnel order form or a direct sale link where a business can buy without a sales call.
- Automatic onboarding. When payment is confirmed, HighLevel creates (or links) the client's sub-account, applies your snapshot, and grants access.
- Usage rebilling with your markup. Phone, email, AI, and other usage is charged to the client at a price you set.
