Impressive keep up the work! One tip I would give is to give them a bit more information in your PR. When you submit the PR you can write a small description in markdown. Use this space to tell them what you are adding and why, this can go a long ways to getting problem solved in open source if the maintainer can understand your issue and why you are trying to fix it.
