My December Adventure (of code)

December Adventure is an Advent of Code alternative that is meant as a productive, but low key, personal programming challenge. As explained by December Adventure progenitor Eli: “Pick a project, or projects and work on them a little bit every day in December.”

That’s it. That’s the challenge, and it sounds like a good one to me as I am a sucker for monthly challenges! In his inaugural December Adventure pitch, it was to see the project — or projects — through to completion by the end of the year. I like to believe ‘completion’ is whatever state you’d like to get it to by the end of the month.

First day? I tweaked some pref expiry handling in an aging Vue project, one that needs some love before I want to set aside come 2025.

I also spec’ed out color schema handling for a personal side-project I intend to get up-and-running before December 31st!

I know for certain that I’ll miss at least a few days here-and-there so it’ll probably be more along the lines of business as usual, but I love to have a end-goal to aspire to!

If you decide to give it a go, let me know in the comments so I can follow along!
