Quick answer
Rockstar has released four main GTA 6 videos: Trailer 1 (December 2023), Trailer 2 (May 2025), the Netflix "Extended Look" (27 August 2026) and a launch trailer (October 2026) that confirms the {{fact:release_date}} release. {{st:official}}
There is no video officially called "Trailer 3". Most fans count the Extended Look, or the launch trailer, as the third. {{st:estimate}}
GTA 6 trailers are events of their own: the first one set a YouTube record, and the third big reveal premiered on Netflix. Here is every official GTA 6 trailer in order, what each one showed, and why searches for "GTA 6 Trailer 3" do not have a simple answer.

Trailer 1: the record-breaking reveal
Rockstar posted Trailer 1 in December 2023, a day earlier than planned after it leaked online. It introduced Lucia, Vice City and the state of Leonida ({{link:gta-6-map|see the GTA 6 map}}), and promised a 2025 release. It drew more than 90 million YouTube views in 24 hours, which Guinness World Records listed as the most-viewed video game reveal in its first day. {{st:official}}
Trailer 2: Jason and Lucia
Trailer 2 arrived on 6 May 2025, days after Rockstar moved the game from 2025 to 2026. It focused on {{link:gta-6-characters|Jason and Lucia}}'s relationship and was captured on a PS5. Rockstar later said it was the biggest video launch it had ever had. {{st:reported}}
The Netflix Extended Look (often called Trailer 3)
On 27 August 2026, Rockstar premiered "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" on Netflix at 12 PM PT, then put it on YouTube and the GTA VI website six hours later. It ran about 26 minutes and showed in-game footage captured on PS5, switching between Jason and Lucia across Leonida. Coverage noted details such as a six-star wanted level. {{st:reported}}
Because it was the third big GTA 6 reveal, many players call it Trailer 3, and searches for "GTA 6 Netflix trailer", "extended look" and "August 27 presentation" all point to it.
The launch trailer
In October 2026 Rockstar released a launch trailer that locks in the 19 November date and the 12 November pre-load ({{link:gta-6-preload|how pre-loading works}}). If you were waiting for a "final trailer" before launch, this is it. It is also why our {{link:is-gta-6-delayed|is GTA 6 delayed?}} tracker shows no new delay. {{st:official}}
When is GTA 6 Trailer 3 coming out?
If you mean the next big reveal after Trailer 2, it already happened: the Extended Look on 27 August 2026. Rockstar has not announced another trailer before launch. Studios sometimes release an "accolades" or "launch day" trailer when a game comes out, so a short video around {{fact:release_date}} is possible {{st:estimate}}.
