From AWS Console basics to the wider AWS community, NOVICIA brought students together to explore how they can start building, learning, and connecting with AWS.
The NOVICIA flagship event was successfully completed with an engaging session on “Inside the AWS Builder Ecosystem”, hosted by the AWS Student Builder Group at LBS College of Engineering.
The session brought together the communities and organizations supporting student innovation at LBSCEK, with the event featuring AWS, Pennmind, NOVICIA, and the Kerala Startup Mission Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at LBS College of Engineering.
Exploring the AWS Builder Ecosystem
The session focused on giving participants a practical introduction to the different parts of the AWS ecosystem.
We explored:
AWS Management Console - navigating the console and understanding the basics of working with AWS services.
AWS Builder Center - discovering builder profiles, learning resources, workshops, community interactions, and opportunities.
AWS Student Builder Groups - understanding how students can participate, learn, build, and lead within the AWS student community.
AWS Community - exploring User Groups, Community Days, Student Community Days, and other ways to connect with builders.
AWS Community Programs - an introduction to programs and recognition such as Community Builders, AWS Heroes, and AWS Ambassadors.
AWS Events - understanding the ecosystem around events such as AWS Summits, Community Days, Student Community Days, and AWS re:Invent.
More Than Just a Technical Session
The goal wasn't simply to show AWS services.
It was about helping students understand the bigger builder ecosystem around AWS — where learning can lead to projects, projects can lead to knowledge sharing, and community participation can create new opportunities.
Learn → Build → Share → Connect
That was the core idea behind the session.
Building Through Community
Events like NOVICIA create an opportunity for students to go beyond classrooms and discover real-world technologies, communities, and people working with them.
Being part of an AWS Student Builder Group gives students a platform to learn together, build projects, participate in events, share knowledge, and contribute to the wider builder community.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making NOVICIA a successful event.
More sessions, workshops, community activities, and opportunities are coming from the AWS Student Builder Group at LBSCEK.
Keep building. Keep sharing. Keep connecting.
