Vibe Coding Isn’t for Beginners

Hey fellow devs! 💻

Got a strong opinion about vibe coding—an approach where you set a perfect “vibe” or environment to boost coding flow. While it sounds appealing, here’s my take: No developer should start vibe coding unless they’ve already built a full project on their own from start to finish.

Why? Because vibe coding demands solid foundational skills and discipline that only come from completing projects independently. This isn’t about beginners entering the industry from other fields—in those cases, exploration is key. But for devs aiming to level up, building the full stack of skills firsthand first will keep you grounded and make your vibe coding truly productive.

Would love to hear your thoughts! Is vibe coding a distraction or a productivity hack based on your experience?
